Airbus Secures Multiple Helicopter Deals

Global Helicopter Orders Boost Airbus Portfolio

Airbus has confirmed a series of new orders for its helicopters from several international entities, including a company under the ownership of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign investment authority, a German emergency medical service operator, and a medical aviation service provider in West Virginia.

The European aeronautical firm announced that it has entered into a framework agreement with Helicopter Company, wholly owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The initial confirmed order includes eight units of the H125 model and 10 of the H145 model. Moreover, the agreement anticipates the potential delivery of up to 120 Airbus helicopters of various models over a period spanning the next five to seven years.

In a concurrent development, DRF Luftrettung, a German operator specializing in helicopter emergency medical services, has placed an order for up to 10 H145 helicopters. This contract comprises seven confirmed orders with an option to acquire three additional helicopters.

Additionally, HealthNet Aeromedical Services, based in Charleston, West Virginia, has opted to purchase four H135 helicopters to enhance their medical service offerings.

While Airbus has successfully sealed these deals, the company has not released any financial specifics regarding the transactions.
