Arab Coordination Group Convenes for Future Partnerships

Vienna Hosts 19th Meeting to Tackle Global Economic Issues

With the objective to forge pathways towards a prosperous tomorrow, the heads of institutions within the Arab Coordination Group assembled in Vienna for their 19th meeting. The gathering was steered by the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser, and saw the participation of delegates from numerous member organizations. Among them were the Islamic Development Bank, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, the Qatar Fund for Development, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the OPEC Fund for International Development, the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), and the Arab Monetary Fund.

The central theme Partnerships for A Better Future encapsulated the meeting’s intent to formulate responses to prevailing global economic challenges. The agenda was comprehensive, with discussions encompassing the collective push for sustainable development across various spheres, including infrastructure, healthcare, food security, and the imperative transition to clean and renewable energy sources.

The Arab Coordination Group is recognized for its amalgamation of diverse expertise, qualifications, and experiences, which it utilizes to exchange knowledge and implement innovative initiatives. These efforts are directed at efficiently addressing the developmental necessities of countries in need while also backing the sustainable development objectives set forth by its member states.
