Bedding Industries of America Expands in MENA Region

New Licensing Deal Boosts Mattress Brand Presence

Bedding Industries of America (BIA) is bolstering its business footprint in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) by partnering with Bed Quarter Company, which is under the MAZ Holding Group umbrella in Saudi Arabia.

Established 27 years ago, Bed Quarter boasts a modern production site situated in Sudair Industrial Area, just north of Riyadh, and commands a network of over 40 mattress retail locations across the region. Through their new collaboration, Bed Quarter will manufacture and offer the Eclipse mattress brand in a host of MENA countries, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and will further extend its reach into North Africa. This move comes in tandem with the strategic goals of BIA, headquartered in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

The Bed Quarter executive team is comprised of very experienced mattress producers in the region, some of whom we worked with years ago, so we are excited about what they will be able to do to expand the Eclipse brand in the region, stated Stuart Carlitz, the founder of BIA. He praised their manufacturing and retail prowess, emphasizing their deep understanding of consumer behavior in mattress shopping, which is crucial for bolstering Eclipse’s footprint in local retail showrooms.

Abdul Salam Al Mazro from MAZ Holding Group expressed delight in incorporating the Eclipse brand, which boasts over a century of heritage. He highlighted the value of American design and production, which he believes is highly sought after in their market. The addition of Eclipse’s unique spinal zone technology, which has the endorsement of COCSA, is set to enhance their market position.

Arun Sharma, CEO of MAZ Holding Group, also conveyed his enthusiasm about rekindling the partnership with Stuart Carlitz and his team. Sharma sees significant potential for sales growth in the region, particularly through the Bed Quarter retail outlets.
