The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, conducted an on-site evaluation of King Abdulaziz International Airport’s facilities in Jeddah. This evaluation included a comprehensive tour of the establishment’s triad of terminals: Terminal 1, the North Terminal, and the recently inaugurated Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex. Al-Jasser was joined by high-ranking representatives from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Airports Holding Company during his visit.

Undertaken with the aim to enhance passenger services and streamline airport operations leading up to the holy month of Ramadan, this visit was crucial in ensuring that the airport is fully equipped to provide an improved travel experience. Post-inspection, Al-Jasser also took the opportunity to break fast with the diligent airport personnel, sharing an Iftar meal as a gesture of camaraderie.

Al-Jasser directed the airport officials to redouble their efforts in refining the travel experience, in accordance with the national strategy to elevate the standard of service for travelers. Commending the dedication of airport staff, he highlighted the significant increase in passenger numbers during Ramadan, with the airport managing the impressive throughput of over 5.4 million passengers in the previous month alone.
