The Manga Arabia enterprise, under the umbrella of the Saudi Research and Media Group, has been commended by the Japanese Patent Office for its active participation in a digital campaign aimed at thwarting electronic piracy while bolstering the enforcement of intellectual property (IP) rights.
The initiative, spearheaded by the patent office in collaboration with the International Intellectual Property Protection Forum (IIPPF), an entity overseen by the Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO), sought to raise awareness on the importance of IP rights.
In contribution to the campaign, Manga Arabia undertook the translation of visual content into Arabic, subsequently disseminating it through its robust online channels. The company boasts a formidable digital footprint in the Middle East, evidenced by over 1.2 billion impressions across diverse digital mediums, coupled with in excess of 7.5 million downloads of its application spanning 190 nations. This extensive digital reach has rendered Manga Arabia a pivotal conduit for enlightening and engaging the youth demographic.
The commitment of Manga Arabia to the cause of protecting creative works and upholding IP standards was articulated by its editor-in-chief, Issam Bukhari. He affirmed the company’s dedication to nurturing an ecosystem that not only safeguards but also respects IP, with the broader objective of fostering a space where creativity and imagination can flourish within the Arab community.
