LinkedIn, the renowned professional networking giant, has recently disclosed its annual roster of leading companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia that offer exceptional career advancement opportunities.
Compiled on an annual basis, LinkedIn’s ‘Top Companies’ list is curated from platform data, ranking firms across seven pivotal factors that affect career growth. These factors include advancement potential, skill development, organizational steadiness, external career opportunities, affinity towards the company, and diversity in terms of employee demographics and gender.
The selection process for the current year involved a comprehensive analysis of data from the start to the end of 2023, focusing on medium and large-scale businesses with a minimum of 500 full-time workers within the operating countries. LinkedIn emphasizes the inclusion of parent companies in the list, integrating data from majority-owned subsidiaries into the parent company’s evaluation.
Salma Altantawy, Senior News Editor at LinkedIn, commented on the significance of the list, noting how it reflects the continuous expansion of companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, thereby reinforcing the region’s status as a pinnacle business hub.
Furthermore, Altantawy highlighted the professional community’s keen interest in exploring new career pathways in 2024, with the list serving to acknowledge those employers that stand out as preferred choices for individuals seeking such transitions.
LinkedIn’s observation also revealed notable trends, such as the dominance of global business consulting firms in the UAE’s rankings, the telecommunications giant stc claiming the top spot in Saudi Arabia, and the advent of entertainment powerhouses Miral and Saudi Entertainment Ventures into the top echelons of the list.
