Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has introduced the National Interactive Entertainment Co., also known as QSAS, to develop immersive storytelling experiences based on the Kingdom’s heritage and Islamic history.

QSAS will focus on creating, owning, and operating top-tier interactive exhibitions across Saudi Arabia. This move supports the Kingdom’s aim to preserve cultural heritage while fostering business opportunities, aligning with PIF’s strategy to bolster the local private sector through partnerships in construction, event management, and technology.

Mishary Al-Ibraheem, head of entertainment, leisure, sports, and education at PIF, emphasized the importance of the tourism and entertainment sector, stating, The tourism and entertainment sector is a strategic local priority for PIF, as we focus on enriching the tourism and entertainment experience.

He added that QSAS will enhance Saudi Arabia’s appeal as a tourist destination by offering storytelling inspired by history, culture, and heritage. It will also invest in local talent to create new economic activities centered around interactive experiences, a rapidly growing global sector.

QSAS is expected to play a significant role in localizing knowledge and technology within the private sector’s content creation industry, with projections to create over 11,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030.

The company plans to provide a range of interactive exhibitions, including permanent and touring displays, designed to deliver multisensory experiences that enrich local culture and support the tourism sector.

This initiative is part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, a Vision 2030 project aimed at accommodating 30 million pilgrims by 2030. It also aligns with the Ministry of Tourism’s National Tourism Strategy, which targets attracting 150 million visitors annually by the same year.
