Qiddiya Unveils Exclusive Dragon Ball Theme Park

Anime Enthusiasts Rejoice as Dragon Ball Enters Real World

The Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) has made headlines with its announcement of a groundbreaking new attraction for anime aficionados and visitors seeking top-notch entertainment. The Dragon Ball theme park, an unprecedented anime-inspired amusement park, is poised to open its doors within the vibrant Qiddiya City, a mere 40-minute drive from the heart of Riyadh.

Encompassing an area exceeding half a million square meters, the park promises to revolutionize the entertainment landscape by re-creating the unforgettable adventures and characters from the beloved Dragon Ball series. The park’s design draws inspiration from the mythic seven Dragon Balls, partitioning the space into seven thematic zones. These areas will transport guests straight into the epic narrative, spanning from the original Dragon Ball to the most recent series, Dragon Ball Super.

Iconic settings from the Dragon Ball saga, including the ‘Kame House’, ‘Capsule Corporation’, and ‘Beerus’ Planet’, will be brought to life, allowing fans to engage with over 30 rides and five pioneering attractions. Among these, a standout rollercoaster weaves its way around a colossal 70-meter Shenron structure, promising thrills for adventure seekers. The park also includes on-site themed accommodations and dining experiences in grandiose eateries, ensuring a comprehensive and memorable visit.

In a strategic move, Qiddiya has partnered with Toei Animation, the esteemed Japanese animation firm responsible for bringing Dragon Ball to life. This collaboration is set to honor and expand the Dragon Ball legacy by giving fans an authentic and tangible experience of their favorite anime world.

‘We are thrilled to join forces with Toei Animation, bringing their esteemed anime heritage to Qiddiya City,’ stated Abdullah Aldawood, Managing Director of QIC. ‘The Dragon Ball theme park embodies our ethos of innovation and our commitment to delivering unparalleled entertainment options as a leader in the industry.’

Toei Animation’s President, Katsuhiro Takagi, echoed the excitement, emphasizing that this partnership is a significant step in celebrating Dragon Ball’s enduring popularity and offering a unique adventure to fans in Saudi Arabia.

The Dragon Ball theme park is expected to bolster Qiddiya City’s reputation as a global hub for leisure and play, a concept backed by extensive research on the importance of play for human development and societal well-being. The park’s unveiling follows the recent introduction of Qiddiya City’s Gaming and Esports District, the cutting-edge Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, and the Speed Park Track. With more announcements on the horizon, Qiddiya is set to further establish itself as a destination for world-class entertainment.
