In an ambitious move to elevate its presence in the healthcare market, Saudi Arabia, through the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), is set to participate in the Arab Health Exhibition 2024. The event, taking place in Dubai from the end of January to the beginning of February, will serve as a platform for 17 premier Saudi companies to display their medical products.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the visibility of domestic industries and pave the way for Saudi healthcare firms to enter and expand in various regional and international markets.
With a focus on the pharmaceutical sector, which is seen as a burgeoning area within the Kingdom’s economy, the past five years have witnessed a significant growth in exports, hitting a total of SAR 8.69 billion between 2019 and 2023.
Participating in high-profile economic and trade gatherings around the globe is a deliberate effort by Saudi Exports to uncover new avenues for export and to cast the Kingdom’s brand and image onto the world stage. This is in direct alignment with the objectives set forth by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a comprehensive plan aimed at diversifying the economy and reducing dependence on oil.
