Saudi Arabia Unveils TDF Grow to Boost Tourism Sector

Entrepreneurs and SMEs Get a New Ally in Saudi's Tourism Hub

In a significant move to bolster its tourism industry, Saudi Arabia has introduced the Tourism Development Fund’s latest initiative, TDF Grow. This venture is strategically positioned to enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the tourism landscape.

TDF Grow is designed as an incubator for innovation and talent, equipping budding entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and fostering an environment conducive to establishing tourism-related businesses.

With a focus on delivering high-value services and forging a network of partners, TDF Grow will establish vital communication pathways within the business community of the tourism sector.

The center is set to be a catalyst for growth by linking commercial possibilities with investors and partnering entities from both public and private realms. This synergy aims to simplify procedures, bolstering the support for tourism business owners in the Kingdom and expediting their growth to draw in new investment opportunities.

TDF Grow is launching with an array of five innovative programs specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of entrepreneurs and SMEs across different facets of the tourism industry. Additionally, it will coordinate workshops and events to further its reach and impact.

Among the offerings, the Tourism Growth Accelerator program stands out, targeting the expansion of SMEs in the tourism sector. The program plans to train 10 enterprises each month, offering a suite of business development services, mentorship, and improved access to investment circles.

The initiative is also committed to nurturing 15 SMEs through the Tourism Growth Camps, designed to assist entrepreneurs in refining their ideas and projects through a series of three distinct training camps, with the goal of creating 60 viable business models.

In parallel, the Restaurants and Cafes Growth Accelerator is tailored to SMEs operating within the dining sector, also aiming to help 15 enterprises achieve their potential.

A variety of training initiatives will be accessible through the center, providing direct e-learning opportunities that tackle prominent topics and training sessions on the latest industry trends. Each program session is set to engage 100 participants.

The overarching aim of these programs is to drive forward innovation and growth within the tourism sector, ensuring entrepreneurs and SMEs receive the support they need to thrive.

The inauguration of TDF Grow underscores the Tourism Development Fund’s dedication to invigorating investment in the tourism sector, elevating the capabilities of entrepreneurs and SMEs, and accelerating progress in line with the National Tourism Strategy and the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030.
