Saudi-Jordanian Pact Bolsters Social Insurance Synergy

Memorandum Signed to Advance Insurance Expertise

The General Organization for Social Insurance in Saudi Arabia has forged a new alliance with the Social Security Corporation of Jordan, aiming to fortify their cooperative efforts in the realm of social insurance. An official memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked, setting the stage for a robust exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions.

This pivotal agreement was formalized at the Saudi authority’s base of operations in Riyadh. The signatories included Abdulaziz bin Hassan Al-Bouq, the esteemed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Authority, and Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Tarawneh, the Director General of the Jordanian Social Security Corporation. Dr. Haitham Abu Alfoul, the Ambassador of Jordan to Saudi Arabia, was also present to witness the occasion.

The MoU delineates a collaborative framework wherein both parties will engage in sharing legislative and research insights to enhance the caliber of insurance performance. Furthermore, it encompasses the exchange of best practices in the administration of social insurance funds and the joint development of training programs for insurance personnel.
