Saudi Minister Explores Industrial Ties in Hong Kong

Bandar Alkhorayef's visit aims to enhance cooperation in automation and technology.

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, commenced his visit to Hong Kong, aiming to bolster industrial ties and explore investment opportunities.

During his stay, Alkhorayef will engage with officials from several key Hong Kong departments, including Trade and Industry, Innovation, Technology, and Economic Development. Discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in automation, innovation, and technology.

He will also connect with representatives from various commercial and industrial enterprises.

As a special administrative region, Hong Kong maintains distinct economic relations with Saudi Arabia. In 2023, Saudi non-oil exports to Hong Kong totaled SR1 billion ($266.3 million), while imports from Hong Kong were valued at SR6.6 billion.

Alkhorayef’s visit to Hong Kong is part of a broader East Asia tour that includes China and Singapore.
