SFDA’s Strategic Engagements with U.S. Industry Leaders

Promoting Investment in Saudi Arabia's Healthcare Sector

The Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, has recently engaged in strategic discussions with top officials from various U.S. firms specializing in food, drugs, and medical equipment. These conversations were centered on the pivotal role SFDA plays in bolstering the private sector, in alignment with the significant developmental prospects present in Saudi Arabia, notably in the drug localization, pharmaceuticals, food safety, and genetics tech industries.

The dialogues took place alongside the 25th iteration of the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF), marking SFDA’s commitment to amplifying investment opportunities within the kingdom. This initiative is also a part of the authority’s efforts to immerse itself in the intricacies of industry knowledge, while addressing the challenges that investors and members of the business community face.
