Saudi Arabia has introduced a new non-profit association dedicated to helping industrial and mining companies implement leading standards in sustainability, social responsibility, and governance. This move is designed to boost the country’s economic development.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources stated that the association will work to raise awareness and encourage responsible business practices across the sector. This effort supports the nation’s Vision 2030 strategy and its goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2060, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s role in regional sustainability.
According to the ministry, the initiative also aims to enhance the sector’s contribution to the national economy. The association will organize specialized campaigns, guidance programs, and workshops focused on ESG (environmental, social, and governance) issues, further integrating non-profit organizations into the industry and mining landscape.
This development is part of broader government efforts to empower non-profit groups and reinforce their impact on economic and social progress in the Kingdom.
