Welspun Corp, an established entity in the production of large diameter pipes, disclosed that its affiliated company, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC), located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has secured a series of contracts collectively valued at over SAR 1.32 billion, which translates to approximately Rs 3,000 crore.
The impressive order book includes a substantial contract from the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) worth over SAR 1 billion (Rs 2,200 crore), inclusive of value-added tax, for the manufacture and supply of steel pipes. Additionally, Saudi Arabian Oil Co. (Aramco) has placed an order exceeding SAR 153 million (Rs 339 crore), also encompassing value-added tax, for similar supply provisions.
Furthermore, EPIC will handle double jointing and coating of steel pipes for Aramco, with a contract surpassing SAR 170 million (Rs 377 crore), inclusive of value-added tax. As the premier fabricator of Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes in Saudi Arabia, EPIC’s expertise is in high demand.
