Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports hit a record SR515 billion in 2024, reflecting a 13% rise from the previous year and more than doubling since Vision 2030 began. Growth spanned all sectors, with merchandise exports reaching SR217 billion, supported by increases in both petrochemical and non-petrochemical categories.

Re-exports soared to SR90 billion, marking a 205% jump since 2016, driven largely by mobile phones and supported by improvements in logistics infrastructure. Services exports also set a new high at SR207 billion, up 14% year-on-year, with travel and tourism playing a major role.

The Saudi Export Development Authority credited this progress to ongoing diversification efforts and support for national companies entering new markets. In 2024, petrochemical exports made up 68% of commodity exports, while non-petrochemical goods reached SR69 billion, a recent peak, with strong performances in food, minerals, and fertilizers.

Saudi Arabia exported goods and services to over 180 countries, with numerous nations recording their highest import levels from the Kingdom. Tourist arrivals climbed to around 30 million, driving a significant increase in travel-related exports and making Saudi Arabia a leader in tourism growth among G20 nations. The transportation sector also contributed, showing steady year-on-year gains.

Overall, these results highlight the Kingdom’s expanding non-oil economy and its success in boosting export performance across a diverse range of sectors.
