Saudi Arabia has issued a warning to taxpayers to submit necessary paperwork by Tuesday or face penalties.
The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has instructed establishments subject to withholding tax to file their forms for August by September 10.
Failure to meet the deadline will result in a late payment penalty of 1% of the unpaid tax for every 30 days of delay.
Withholding Tax Details
Withholding tax is applied to payments from sources within Saudi Arabia to non-resident entities without a permanent establishment in the country. The rates are specified in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Executive Regulations.
