The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued a reminder to all businesses that fall under the withholding tax (WHT) category in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the importance of filing their tax statements for the month of March by the upcoming deadline of April 10th.
Entities are advised to prioritize the submission of their tax statements via ZATCA’s official online portal to circumvent any penalties associated with tardiness. Delays in payment can result in a fine that comprises 1% of the unpaid tax amount for every 30 days past the stipulated deadline.
For further assistance regarding WHT, ZATCA offers several communication channels. Businesses can reach out 24/7 to the call center at the number 19993, engage with the Ask Zakat, Tax, and Customs service on social media, send inquiries to the email address info@zatca.gov.sa, or use the live chat feature available on the ZATCA website.
It is important to note that WHT applies to all payments made within the Kingdom to non-resident entities, as per the guidelines outlined in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
