NEOM Unveils ‘Magna’ as Flagship Coastal Luxury Hub

Magna to Redefine Sustainable Tourism Standards

The NEOM Board of Directors has announced the creation of Magna, a high-end coastal destination designed to elevate the standards of sustainable luxury travel. Nestled along the pristine Gulf of Aqaba, Magna is part of NEOM’s initiative to foster regional sustainable tourism and includes the debut of twelve premier destinations: Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori, Treyam, and Jaumur.

Extending over 120 kilometers, these destinations are intended to collectively redefine the luxury tourism experience on a global scale, manifesting the ambitions of the Saudi Vision 2030 with a commitment to advanced technology, avant-garde architecture, and state-of-the-art facilities that harmonize with the natural surroundings.

Each site within Magna has been crafted to offer a distinct and exclusive experience while maintaining a cohesive identity. This unity is achieved through the careful conservation and revitalization of the local environment, including its diverse flora and fauna. The development will feature 15 opulent hotels, providing 1,600 rooms, suites, and apartments, alongside over 2,500 luxury residences.

NEOM’s premier coastal region of Magna is a treasure of tomorrow, steeped in natural beauty and advanced technology. Aligned with our three pillars of redefining business, conservation, and livability, Magna will play a key role in building a strong tourism ecosystem within NEOM. Importantly, Magna will contribute positively to the national economic diversification efforts and to the broader Saudi Vision 2030 goals, helping to position the Kingdom as a global leader in luxury tourism, stated NEOM’s CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr.

In alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s transformative agenda, Magna is expected to invigorate the Kingdom’s economy by creating 15,000 new employment opportunities in tourism, leisure, and hospitality. By 2030, the development aims to inject SAR 2.6 billion into Saudi Arabia’s GDP, house 14,500 residents, and attract more than 300,000 overnight visitors each year. This provides a unique investment opportunity for those looking to be part of a pioneering global project, where sustainability is integrated from inception through to ongoing operations.

Magna represents the latest addition to NEOM’s expanding mega-development in northwest Saudi Arabia, joining other projects like Sindalah, THE LINE, Trojena, and Oxagon.
