Exploring Mineral Opportunities at Global Mining Event

A consortium of representatives from various sectors within Saudi Arabia’s industry and mineral resources framework took to the global stage at PDAC 2024 in Toronto, Canada, showcasing investment potentials under the banner of Invest Saudi.

The Saudi presence was notably led by Eng. Abdullah Al-Shamrani, CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey, alongside key officials such as Eng. Ali Al-Amoudi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Resources, and Abdulrahman Al-Balushi, Assistant Undersecretary for Mining Empowerment.

In conjunction with the convention, which is esteemed as the World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention, the Saudi delegates engaged in strategic discussions with prominent counterparts from Canada, the Czech Republic, and Ecuador. These interactions were part of an ambitious agenda to conduct 85 meetings with various country officials and international corporations participating at the event.

The delegation’s itinerary included three informative sessions, two held in Toronto and one in Montreal. These sessions were designed to highlight the geological landscape of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to present the lucrative investment opportunities available within its mining sector. The sessions were well-attended, drawing in over 300 delegates from Canadian and international mining firms.
