Satellite images reveal progress on Saudi Arabia’s Neom project, showcasing a grand palace likely belonging to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This palace, part of the $2 trillion megacity initiative, features private beaches, lush gardens, a golf course, and ten helipads. The images were captured by Maxar Technologies and are featured in a Business Insider documentary.

The palace, located on the Red Sea coast, aligns with reported plans from 2018 to build five royal palaces west of Tabuk. These developments include Moroccan-style architecture and various luxury amenities. Neom is a pivotal part of the Crown Prince’s strategy to diversify the Saudi economy, shifting focus from oil to technology and tourism.

The documentary also delves into Neom’s ambitious projects, such as the Line, a 110-mile vertical city, and discusses related controversies, including environmental and human rights issues. The Line’s full completion has been delayed, with only a portion expected by 2030.

Crown Prince Mohammed, known for his opulent lifestyle, also owns a $300 million chateau in France and a $400 million yacht. Despite significant investment from Saudi Arabia’s oil wealth, Neom faces challenges in attracting foreign investors quickly enough to meet its construction goals. Neom has not commented on these developments.
