Honeywell has inaugurated a cybersecurity center in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, aimed at bolstering the cybersecurity infrastructure for critical industrial sectors. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation efforts and its ambitions in the global cybersecurity market.
Named the Honeywell Himaya Center, the facility was unveiled at the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (iktva) Forum and Exhibition 2025. It emphasizes Honeywell’s commitment to automation and enhancing industrial cybersecurity by providing advanced Operational Technology (OT) security solutions to combat evolving threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
The center offers Managed Security Services (MSS) for sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and utilities. Key offerings include the Cyber Insight and Cyber Watch software, designed to help businesses adhere to National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) OT Cybersecurity Controls and leverage automation and AI technologies.
Abdullah Al Juffali, President of Honeywell Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, stated that the center supports Saudi Arabia’s localization and industrial transformation goals, contributing to a resilient industrial ecosystem.
The Saudi cybersecurity market is projected to expand significantly, driven by digital transformation, increasing cyber threats, and initiatives like Vision 2030. The demand for advanced security solutions is rising with the growing reliance on cloud technologies and data protection.
George Bou Mitri, Honeywell’s President for Industrial Automation in the Middle East, emphasized the importance of industrial automation and AI in enhancing operational efficiency. The center aims to assist businesses in navigating industrial cybersecurity complexities and utilizing advanced automation benefits.
