Informatica Unveils AI-Driven Data Platform in Saudi Arabia

New Data Management Hub to Accelerate Saudi's Cloud Ambitions

Informatica, a leader in enterprise cloud data management, has made a groundbreaking move by launching its AI-powered Intelligent Data Management Cloud™ (IDMC) in Saudi Arabia. This strategic development marks the first time such technology is made available in the Kingdom and comes with the establishment of a new Point of Delivery (PoD) in Riyadh. This expansion not only signifies Informatica’s commitment to supporting scalable, cloud-first data management services locally but also solidifies its growing presence in the Middle East, following the opening of its inaugural regional PoD in Abu Dhabi in the previous year.

The investment is a direct response to the Saudi government’s Vision 2030, which aims to digitally empower all economic sectors. By adopting a cloud-first approach, the new PoD is expected to accelerate the transition of government entities from traditional IT frameworks to secure, cloud-based infrastructures.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has forecasted that the cloud computing sector is poised to double in size within the next three years, contributing an additional USD 13.3 billion to the nation’s GDP. This projection underscores the potential for Riyadh to evolve into a hub of data-driven innovation, stimulating both economic and digital advancement throughout the country.

The Riyadh PoD will enable Informatica to offer enhanced support to local partners and organizations, ensuring compliance with regional regulatory requirements through its cloud data management platform.

“Saudi Arabia is rapidly advancing towards becoming a Middle Eastern technology nexus, laying down a robust cloud infrastructure to fulfill its Vision 2030 goals. Our presence in the Kingdom, with a significant cloud, data, and AI footprint, equips organizations with a domestic AI-enabled data infrastructure to power their cloud-based applications. This will unlock their data’s value while maintaining security, governance, and regional compliance. We are honored to contribute to the Kingdom’s ascension as a global digital technology leader, addressing the burgeoning demand for cloud services in the Middle East and beyond,” stated Jitesh Ghai, Chief Product Officer at Informatica.
