Speaking at the LEAP 2024 event, Honeywell’s president and CEO for Global High Growth Regions, Anant Maheshwari, described Saudi Arabia as a pivotal market. He highlighted the nation’s unique position as one of the three countries where Honeywell operates as an independent market.

Maheshwari noted.
Maheshwari pointed out Honeywell’s role in generating employment and propelling technological innovation in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the company’s commitment to nurturing talent.
He proudly mentioned the significant increase in female hires, up by 50 percent over two years, with many joining critical industrial programs, including those for Aramco.
The collaboration with Aramco is anticipated to create hundreds of jobs within the next five years.
The Honeywell Global TECPro Program, initiated in 2014 and introduced to Saudi Arabia, supports the nation’s shift to a knowledge-based economy by focusing on early career development. The 18-month program equips graduates with the necessary tools, knowledge, and experience to establish long-term careers at Honeywell.
Maheshwari stressed the importance of preparing the next generation of Saudi engineers to handle and advance automation and sustainability technologies, which will not only bolster the Kingdom’s industrial sector but also contribute to global growth and climate goals.
At LEAP 2024, Maheshwari highlighted Honeywell’s technological prowess, stating, As a trusted technology adviser to critical industries worldwide, Honeywell plays a key role in making sectors safer, smarter, and more sustainable through our connected technology portfolio.
Maheshwari emphasized Honeywell’s innovative use of artificial intelligence and machine learning throughout their product offerings, which enhances customers’ operational autonomy and decision-making processes.
The executive also touched on Honeywell’s collaborative efforts, including the Plant.Digital joint venture with Aramco. Combining Aramco’s industrial operations expertise with Honeywell’s software and automation capabilities, Plant.Digital offers a comprehensive plant management solution.
Honeywell’s partnership with Hisense integrates Solstice refrigerant technology into home air conditioners. Maheshwari explained the environmental benefits of transitioning to HFO-based refrigerants, which aligns with Saudi Arabia’s climate goals.
Addressing the Kingdom’s sustainability targets, Maheshwari affirmed Honeywell’s support for Saudi Arabia’s energy efficiency and technology advancements. He acknowledged the global push for efficient energy use, emphasizing the need for a balanced transition and sustained investment.
The LEAP conference concluded with significant discussions and deals in various tech sectors, including artificial intelligence, educational tech, retail tech, and fintech, along with health tech, the fourth industrial revolution, future energy, and smart cities.
