This accolade, presented by the GSMA—a prominent association that advocates for the interests of mobile network operators—recognizes the stc Group’s exceptional contributions and leadership in cybersecurity within the global telecommunications sector. Notably, stc Group is the first mobile operator outside Europe to receive this esteemed award.

In the previous year, the stc Group played a pivotal role as one of six companies that formed the T-ISAC SS7 Operator Focus Group under the GSMA’s leadership. This group is dedicated to addressing mobile cyber attacks and threats to telecommunications, which can affect both voice and SMS communications. Through this collaboration, the stc Group’s executive team has worked hand in hand with the GSMA to forge strategies for intelligence sharing and to develop a comprehensive framework aimed at fortifying global telecommunications cybersecurity.
