Boosting Saudi Entrepreneurs with FintechHub

Empretec's new initiatives support Vision 2030 goals

UN Trade and Development’s Empretec program is enhancing support for Saudi entrepreneurs through two new initiatives: FintechHub and LogiHub. These projects aim to equip entrepreneurs with necessary skills and knowledge in the rapidly growing sectors of financial technology and logistics.

These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious “Vision 2030” plan, which seeks to diversify its economy by focusing on technology and entrepreneurship. The country aims to establish itself as a global logistics hub and a leader in fintech, with a target of 525 fintech companies by 2030.

FintechHub and LogiHub provide comprehensive training for start-up founders, combining entrepreneurial skills with practical insights. The training is delivered by certified trainers and experienced founders, offering peer-to-peer learning and personalized mentoring. Participants also gain access to study tours and Empretec’s Square for Global Goals, a platform for learning and networking with industry leaders.

These projects are expected to benefit around 900 Saudi entrepreneurs by 2029, with 165 already participating in 2024. The initiatives are supported by the Saudi Social Development Bank and other local partners, enhancing access to industry networks and insights.

Empretec’s efforts aim to create a supportive ecosystem for start-ups, helping them become more resilient and innovative in a competitive global market.
