The 28th session of the general assembly of the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) convened in Rabat, Morocco, with Saudi Arabia’s delegation at the forefront, led by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-khorayef.
Attended by a host of Arab industry ministers and envoys from regional and global institutions, the opening session garnered attention with AIDSMO Director General Adel Al-Saqr commending Saudi Arabia for its steadfast patronage of Arab mining sector collaboration.
The three-day assembly’s program is set to unveil the Arab Strategy for Standardization and Quality for the span of 2024-2028, confirm the general outline for the Arab Industrial Integration Strategy, and appraise reports from the organization’s executive council.
Comprising the Saudi contingent are high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, the Saudi ambassador to Morocco, all participating actively in the session’s engagements.
