Airbus has announced a series of new contracts for their rotorcraft division, with purchases coming from entities in Saudi Arabia, Germany, and West Virginia.

In a significant boost for the European aerospace conglomerate, the Helicopter Company, which is wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, has entered a comprehensive agreement. This pact includes a confirmed order for eight H125 helicopters and an additional ten H145s. Furthermore, the terms allow for the acquisition of up to 120 helicopters of various types over a period of five to seven years.

Adding to Airbus’s order book, the German air rescue service DRF Luftrettung has committed to as many as ten H145 helicopters, with a guaranteed purchase of seven and an option to procure three more.

On a separate note, HealthNet Aeromedical Services, based in Charleston, West Virginia, has opted to enhance its fleet with four H135 helicopters.

While the financial specifics of these transactions have not been publicly disclosed, the deals mark a substantial influx of orders for Airbus’s helicopter business, signaling confidence in the company’s offerings from varied sectors of the aviation industry.
