Expanding in the Middle East

Apple plans to launch an online store in Saudi Arabia this summer, followed by its first physical stores next year, while also preparing to open a fifth store in the UAE.

Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting upcoming flagship stores in Saudi Arabia, including a notable location in Diriyah.

In the UAE, Apple aims to grow its teams and strengthen relationships with local businesses and customers.

Broader Regional Growth

Beyond retail, Apple’s strategic growth is linked to India’s rise as a manufacturing hub, supporting regional business development and significant investments.

Apple’s initiatives include the first Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, launched in 2021 with local partners.

The company is also establishing a product transportation hub in Riyadh to facilitate regional distribution.

Saudi Arabia’s Transport Minister, Saleh Al-Jasser, noted Apple’s plans for a regional distribution center, assembly line, maintenance services, and light manufacturing.

Navigating Global Challenges

Apple’s market expansion comes amid global trade tensions, making new market investments a strategic move for future growth.
