Apple has announced a significant expansion in Saudi Arabia, beginning with the launch of its online store in summer 2025. This will allow Saudi customers to purchase Apple products with comprehensive service and support in Arabic.

From 2026, Apple plans to open several flagship stores across the Kingdom, including a notable location in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This expansion aims to strengthen Apple’s connection with Saudi customers and provide enhanced retail experiences.

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting the opportunities for customers to engage with Apple’s products and services. The company’s retail strategy includes personalized shopping experiences and various payment options, both online and in-store.

Apple’s growth in Saudi Arabia is supported by its existing investments, such as the Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, established in partnership with local institutions. The academy, which focuses on training women in coding and entrepreneurship, has seen nearly 2,000 students publish apps globally.

The company is also expanding its Apple Foundation Program, which offers coed courses on coding and app development. The next session is scheduled for spring 2025.

Saudi Arabia’s app economy is thriving, with a significant increase in developer earnings since 2019. Apple continues to invest in the region, creating jobs and introducing new technology. For instance, Riyadh recently adopted Apple’s Express Mode for transit payments, enhancing convenience and security for commuters.

Overall, Apple’s expansion in Saudi Arabia reflects its commitment to supporting local talent and driving economic growth through technology and innovation.
