In the core of the historical Diriyah, Bujairi Terrace, a top-tier dining venue, has been honored with the Architectural and Urban Creativity Award by Riyadh Municipality. This accolade celebrates the venue’s exceptional design, which was achieved through the use of traditional 300-year-old mud brick techniques reflective of the Najdi architectural style.
This architectural approach is renowned for its simplicity and aesthetic functionality, blending the rich historical legacy of Diriyah with contemporary design elements, underscoring innovation and ecological consciousness.
Since its inauguration in December 2022, Bujairi Terrace has welcomed over a million guests within the first half-year. Occupying an area of 15,000 square meters, the culinary sector is home to more than 20 internationally acclaimed dining establishments, including four eateries that boast Michelin stars—Chez Bruno, Tatel, Hakkasan, and Long Chim. Furthermore, the area offers a carefully selected mix of authentic Saudi flavors alongside a variety of international cuisines.
Bujairi Terrace exemplifies Diriyah’s commitment to fusing historical authenticity with modernity, presenting both locals and tourists with an unmatched gastronomic and cultural encounter. Diriyah, known as “The City of Earth,” is rapidly transforming into a prominent cultural hub and a sought-after locale for social convergence.
Diriyah’s evolution is part of a broader initiative to reimagine urban development, aiming to establish Saudi Arabia’s foundational city as a lively new center for culture, leisure, and learning.
With aspirations in line with Saudi Vision 2030, Diriyah sets ambitious targets of drawing 50 million visitors yearly, creating upwards of 178,000 direct employment opportunities, and contributing in excess of US$18.6 billion directly to the national economy by the year’s end.
