China Telecom Gulf has officially commenced operations in Riyadh, marking a significant step in China Telecom’s international expansion. This launch aligns with the “Belt and Road Initiative” and aims to foster a “China-Arab Community with a Shared Future.” The event was attended by over 100 guests, including leaders from various sectors.
In his speech, Mr. Liu Guiqing, Executive Director and EVP of China Telecom, stressed the company’s dedication to cooperation and mutual benefit. He highlighted plans to share expertise in cloud-network integration and technological innovation, supporting the development of Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure and next-generation technologies.
Mr. Fawaz, representing the Contact Office of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia, congratulated China Telecom Gulf on its launch. He emphasized the company’s extensive cloud-network resources and its role in the digital transformation of the region’s businesses, expressing confidence in the potential for economic cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia.
China Telecom also showcased its global resources and services, including eSurfing Cloud and customized 5G networks. With branches in 42 countries and 53 international submarine cables, the company is well-positioned to offer comprehensive digital services worldwide.
During the event, strategic agreements were signed with Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Huawei Saudi Arabia, and Baud Telecom Company to enhance digital experiences for Saudi customers through collaborative efforts.
