Enhanced Economic Ties: Saudi-Moroccan Chamber Partnership

Business Cooperation Bolstered by New Saudi-Moroccan Accord

In a significant move to bolster economic and commercial ties, the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Beni Mellal Khenifra in Morocco have entered into a partnership agreement. This accord aims to intensify the economic collaboration between the two regions.

The ceremonial signing of the agreement took place amidst the presence of esteemed figures, including the Assistant Consul General at the Moroccan Consulate in Jeddah, Hassan Dalloul, and a host of business representatives from both countries. Abdullah Hanif, the Secretary General of the Makkah Chamber, was also in attendance alongside several dignitaries.

Abdel Ghani Al-Sharqawi, who helms the Beni Mellal Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services delegation, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands as Morocco’s most significant commercial ally. He highlighted the robust trade figures, noting that in the year 2022, Saudi exports to Morocco soared to $4.6 billion, with Moroccan imports to Saudi Arabia valued at $87 million.

Khalid bin Dubais, a board member of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, stressed the importance of mutual visits and economic agreements. He credited these interactions with spurring the swift expansion of trade exchange between the nations in recent times.
