Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has confirmed that fees for exit and re-entry visas are not refundable, even if the visa is cancelled. This clarification affects many expatriates preparing for summer travel.
Single exit and re-entry visas cost 200 riyals for two months, with an extra 100 riyals charged for each additional month, provided the resident permit is valid. Multiple exit and re-entry visas are priced at 500 riyals for up to three months, and each extra month costs 200 riyals. If a resident is outside Saudi Arabia and needs an extension, fees double—200 riyals per month for single visas and 400 riyals for multiple visas.
All visa processes, including cancellations and renewals, can be completed through the Absher digital platform. However, even after cancelling a visa, fees will not be reimbursed.
Residents and sponsors can use Absher to manage extensions for dependents and workers, whether inside or outside the country. The process involves selecting the appropriate service and confirming the necessary steps online.
In summary, while digital tools simplify visa management, the policy on non-refundable fees remains unchanged for all exit and re-entry visas.
