According to Marco Osnato, Chairman of the Saudi-Italian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Italian commerce chambers and corporate entities are gearing up to set up their main operational bases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The goal of this move is to bring their varied services and expertise to the numerous sectors within the Saudi market.
Osnato revealed this plan while participating in a meeting with a delegation comprising Italian lawmakers and business figures. The gathering, which included engagements with Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and Eng. Kamel Salahuddin Munjid, President of the Saudi-Italian Business Council, aimed at discussing the Kingdom’s economic and social progress under the ambit of Vision 2030.
The meeting also opened discussions on potential investments and explored strategies to make the Saudi business environment more inviting to foreign investors. Moreover, it provided an opportunity for dialogue on how Saudi businesses could enter the Italian market.
The Italian delegation received insights into the ‘Saudi Made’ and ‘Quality of Life’ initiatives, which are part of the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify its economy and enhance living standards. Additionally, the delegation learned about the benefits that the premium residency system offers to foreign investors and individuals seeking to engage with the Saudi market.
