Expanding their longstanding global technology partnership, KPMG and Microsoft have initiated a new Center for Emerging Technologies in Saudi Arabia.

Targeted as a nation-wide enterprise, the newly established Center for Emerging Technologies (CET) is poised to assist Saudi organizations in comprehending the ramifications and prospects that novel technologies offer. The center is committed to aiding organizations in actualizing technological solutions, which includes the creation of prototypes and use case scenarios.

“The CET collaborates with organizations of all sizes and industries to facilitate their understanding, evaluation, and appropriate integration of these innovative technologies,” remarked Khalil Ibrahim Al Sedais, who heads the KPMG Riyadh office as the Regional Managing Partner.

While the CET will concentrate on a diverse array of novel technologies, it will particularly emphasize transformative innovations like artificial intelligence, Web 3.0, cloud solutions, and quantum computing. An analysis previously disseminated by KPMG indicated that Saudi firms demonstrate a proactive stance towards the exploration and assimilation of these and other cutting-edge technologies.

“The center is set to work in tandem with industry leaders within Saudi Arabia and from the broader global community to procure insights on the most pertinent technological advancements,” added Al Sedais.

For Microsoft, this initiative signifies a broadening of its alliance with KPMG, a partnership that spans nearly two decades. Earlier in the year, KPMG announced a substantial multi-billion-dollar investment over five years in Microsoft’s cloud services and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Turki Badhris, the head of Microsoft in Arabia, shared, “Our collaboration with KPMG on the Center for Emerging Technologies is integral to our endeavor to empower Saudi organizations in their paths to business transformation and technological advancement.”

“By amalgamating our state-of-the-art technology and extensive global network with the industry acumen and proficiency of KPMG, the CET is designed to deliver impactful interventions to businesses across various sectors, thereby propelling their growth through innovation and spearheading digital transformation in Saudi Arabia,” concluded Badhris.
