MDLBEAST, a music entertainment powerhouse based in Saudi Arabia, has recently established a music publishing branch named MDLBEAST Publishing. This new arm of the business is set to foster collaborations with songwriters, producers, and artists not just in Saudi Arabia but throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The freshly minted division is entering into a strategic association with Sentric to extend its global reach, providing comprehensive support and administrative services to secure registration of authors’ compositions.

With the aim to offer creators global representation and ensure they receive their due royalties for various rights such as reproduction, performance, and broadcasting, MDLBEAST Publishing is committed to efficient and timely management. This initiative is also a continuation of MDLBEAST’s existing efforts to nurture creativity and provide guidance to creators.

Highlighting its influence in the music world, MDLBEAST has supported 20 artists through writing and production camps, including some of the leading electronic music talents in Saudi Arabia like Cosmicat, Jeme, and Dish Dash. In 2024, the company plans to expand these programs, utilizing the new studio space within Beast House.

To further educate artists about the intricacies of music publishing, individual coaching and workshops will be offered, emphasizing the importance of joining Performance Rights Organizations.

MDLBEAST’s portfolio extends to several brands within the music entertainment sector, including MDLBEAST Records and MaestroLAB, boasting a catalog of over 300 master rights and a similar count for publishing rights.

Talal Albahiti, the COO and Head of Music at MDLBEAST, expressed that the new publishing arm will tackle the significant challenges associated with music broadcast and performance rights, prioritizing the protection of creators’ intellectual and financial rights by collaborating with music rights organizations at multiple levels.

“We are delighted to launch a pioneering and unique model in the music publishing sector in the Kingdom and across the MENA region.”

Additionally, MDLBEAST is known for organizing the XP Music Futures conference, which is focused on the MENA region’s music scene. The event is set to make its return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 5-7, 2024.
