PIF Launches QSAS to Enhance Saudi Storytelling

New company aims to enrich cultural landscape with interactive exhibitions

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has launched the National Interactive Entertainment Company, QSAS, to create engaging storytelling experiences that highlight Saudi heritage and Islamic history.

QSAS aims to enrich the cultural landscape by developing interactive and creative storytelling experiences. The company will focus on creating, owning, and operating world-class interactive exhibitions across Saudi Arabia, catering to the growing demand from pilgrims and tourists for high-quality cultural experiences.

QSAS, meaning ‘stories’ in Arabic, will enhance visitors’ experiences by showcasing historical milestones and notable figures from Saudi Arabia and beyond. Initially, the company plans to host local exhibitions featuring narratives from Islamic history and Saudi heritage, with future plans to expand globally and diversify its content.

Aligned with PIF’s strategy to support the local private sector through partnerships in construction, event management, and technology, QSAS is expected to create over 11,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2030.

Mishary Alibraheem, head of Entertainment, Leisure, Sports, and Education, MENA Direct Investments at PIF, emphasized the importance of the tourism and entertainment sector, stating, QSAS will help strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a top tourist destination by offering storytelling inspired by our rich history, culture, and heritage. The initiative will also invest in local talent to foster economic activity in the growing interactive experiences sector.

QSAS will complement other PIF investments, such as the Diriyah giga-project and the Dan Company, which focuses on agriculture and eco-tourism. It aligns with the Vision 2030 Pilgrim Experience Program, aiming to welcome 30 million pilgrims by 2030, and the National Tourism Strategy, which targets 150 million visitors annually by enhancing the visitor experience.
