Red Sea Global (RSG), the entity behind the development of The Red Sea and AMAALA luxury tourism projects, has recently entered into a strategic agreement with Hyundai Motor Group. The partnership aims to introduce environmentally conscious transportation options at RSG’s opulent Saudi Arabian resorts, while also considering cutting-edge mobility technologies for future applications.

The understanding was formalized during a ceremony at the RSG headquarters in Riyadh, with RSG CEO John Pagano and Hyundai Motor Group’s Dongkun Lee, head of the Future Growth Strategy Sub-Division, both in attendance.

As per their agreement, RSG and Hyundai will initially concentrate on the practical application of Hyundai’s sustainable transport solutions, including electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Looking ahead, the collaboration may extend to pioneering technologies like self-driving cars, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and eco-friendly marine transportation.

“Hyundai Motor company is a world leader in sustainable and luxury mobility. By working together and integrating its cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly mobility solutions into our destinations, we have the opportunity to continue setting new benchmarks in carbon-neutral operations while exceeding our guests’ expectations for style, comfort, and environmental responsibility,” John Pagano expressed enthusiastically.

Dongkun Lee highlighted the mutual dedication to an innovative and sustainable transport future, eager to expedite the testing phase and consider broader objectives that contribute to an environmentally friendly and technologically advanced regional ecosystem.

Hyundai Motor Group’s extensive portfolio in eco-friendly initiatives, from personal mobility to large-scale charging networks, presents diverse prospects for collaboration.

The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to foster a net-zero emission society by 2060 and propelling the nation towards a greener economy.
