Red Sea Global (RSG), renowned for spearheading regenerative tourism through The Red Sea and Amaala initiatives, has made a foray into the music industry with the launch of its inaugural ‘Red Sea Waves’ album, courtesy of Red Sea Studios. Under the guidance of Senior Manager Adham Alzanbagi, the Red Sea Studios’ creative ensemble has meticulously crafted a musical anthology that echoes the diverse heritage of the Red Sea corridor, showcasing a tapestry of contributions from Saudi, Egyptian, Sudanese, Somali, and various other artists.
“Our Red Sea Studios squad has succeeded in delivering a sonic odyssey that aligns with our commitment to offer a genuine and immersive guest experience at The Red Sea through our support of cultural and artistic endeavors. Issuing this album marks the beginning of our ambition to construct a creative epicenter in The Red Sea to attract and cultivate artistic talents from across the globe,” stated Eng. Ahmed Darwish, the group chief administrative officer at Red Sea Global.
The album, a collection of 12 distinct tracks, traverses various genres and origins. It opens with a piece inspired by Yanbawi tunes and travels through musical landscapes from Suakin in Sudan, Hodeidah in Yemen, West Africa’s Ngoni traditions, Balo Somali Music, and beyond. Each composition is expertly crafted to enrich the auditory journey of The Red Sea’s visitors.
In a strategic move to broaden its reach, RSG has partnered with MDLBEAST to disseminate the album across various music-streaming platforms, thus extending the resonance of Red Sea coastal melodies across the globe. All printing and publishing rights are retained by RSG, ensuring the album’s unique cultural imprints are preserved.
