The Saudi capital is gearing up to welcome the Fifth Internal Auditing Forum on May 12, an essential gathering in the context of International Internal Audit Awareness Month. Hosted by the Saudi Center for Financial and Performance Auditing (SCFPA) at the General Court of Audit’s headquarters in Riyadh, this forum promises to unite a host of national and international experts in the field of internal auditing.
With its fifth iteration underway, the forum is designed to bolster understanding of internal auditing’s pivotal role in aligning with and realizing an organization’s strategic ambitions. It emphasizes the significance of audit and governance improvement, and serves as a platform for dialogue on the current hurdles and prospects for growth in internal audit territory.
One of the highlights of the event will be the keynote address by Sally-Anne Pitt, Chair of the Institute of Internal Auditors Board of Directors, who will discuss the global ramifications of the 2024 internal audit standards modification.
The forum’s agenda includes two intensive discussion panels. The first will dissect the contributions of internal audit to the strategic objectives of public sector entities and its value creation. The second panel will delve into the transformative effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on the methodologies and applications of internal auditing. These sessions aim to shed light on the ever-changing dynamics of the internal audit field, spotlighting the essential challenges and opportunities it encounters.
An ‘Internal Audit Applications’ exhibition is also set to take place within the forum, where various organizations will exhibit their advancements in internal audit roles. This will provide attendees with a unique chance to immerse themselves in diverse internal auditing practices and engage with leading professionals in the industry.
