The capital of Saudi Arabia is set to launch a dynamic event titled Innovation Week, which will commence on April 21 and continue until April 27, 2024. This initiative is a result of a strategic partnership between the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat), and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.
The inauguration of this pivotal event will be graced by key figures such as the Minister of Education, Dr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, Dr. Muhammad bin Awaid Al-Otaibi of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Swailem from the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, and Saud bin Khalid Al-Sabhan, Deputy Governor of Monshaat for entrepreneurship. They will join other distinguished participants in a program filled with main dialogue sessions and workshops aimed at fostering innovation within their respective fields.
Activities during the week include the Science Fair on the opening day, featuring the Ministry of Education and centers devoted to scientific discovery and innovation such as Lamba Center and Noon, showcasing student projects. This event is poised to significantly enhance the culture of innovation, protect intellectual property, and nurture an entrepreneurial spirit. It also aims to involve the youth in the nation’s economic growth by presenting pioneering ideas and inventive solutions.
Moreover, the Authority has established a collaborative platform to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among a broad spectrum of attendees, including researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, government representatives, institutions, research centers, and academic entities.
