Unveiling the Future of Fun and Technology in Saudi

The city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia recently became the hub for the largest entertainment industry convergence with the launch of two eagerly awaited events – the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo, alongside the Saudi Light and Sound Expo.

Spanning over three thrilling days, the events will immerse attendees in a world of interactive exhibits, state-of-the-art technologies, and forward-thinking insights into the entertainment industry’s trajectory. Both expos boast a roster of local and global authorities, government dignitaries, and sector experts.

The inauguration of the expos was led by Mohannad Al-Abbad, the Deputy CEO of Investment and Business Development at the General Entertainment Authority, and included exclusive tours for distinguished guests.

In a conversation with a regional publication, Majed Aleid, the Entertainment Sector Director at the Ministry of Investment, underscored the Kingdom’s strides in boosting the entertainment sector, emphasizing its contribution to enhancing the standard of living.

The expos are designed to foster collaboration, spur innovation, and encourage dialogue among investors, creators, and industry connoisseurs worldwide, aiming to inject novel concepts and projects into the entertainment landscape, according to Aleid.

Representative from DMG Events, Sarkis Kahwajian, highlighted the diversity of this year’s agenda, exemplifying the latest offerings and breakthroughs in Saudi entertainment.

A pivotal agreement will also be signed between Saudi Invest, a branch of the Ministry of Investment, and Nowaar Entertainment, focusing on experiential events and content creation.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, Dallah Al-Baraka, an international conglomerate, will collaborate with Europa-Park, Germany’s esteemed amusement park, to deliver consultancy, training programs, and equipment sales, thereby propelling the sector forward.

The SEA Expo will present an array of new products from assorted firms over the next three days.

Renowned industry entities such as Six Flags Qiddiya, SEVEN, Cruise Saudi, along with government institutions, will delve into various topics including the Saudi entertainment industry’s future, synergies between local and global brands, culinary experiences, theme parks, sustainability initiatives, and employee retention strategies.

Meanwhile, the SLS Expo offers attendees a chance to discover the latest in lighting, sound, live events, theater technology, and augmented reality applications.
