Saudi Arabia and Algeria have entered new agreements aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties, as senior officials and business leaders gathered in Algiers for a major business forum.
The Saudi-Algerian Business Forum focused on expanding economic cooperation in key sectors such as tourism, agriculture, construction, and manufacturing. These talks reflect the enduring relationship between the two countries, both members of the Arab League and OPEC, with Saudi Arabia serving as a major supplier of industrial products and petrochemicals to Algeria.
During the event, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Algeria emphasized the importance of the forum in boosting bilateral relations and highlighted the nearly $1 billion in trade between the nations. He encouraged Saudi investors to consider opportunities in Algeria, especially given the advantages of the country’s new investment law.
Business leaders from both sides expressed optimism that the forum would lead to practical collaborations, noting the support from both governments. The Saudi-Algerian Business Council underscored the potential for deeper economic ties, while Algerian representatives pointed to promising prospects in food production, steel, tourism, and technology.
Participants agreed that the forum provides a valuable platform for launching joint ventures and sharing expertise, aiming to drive sustainable growth for both economies.
