In a recent discourse, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, highlighted the ambitious goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy to transform the Kingdom into an influential global logistics nexus. This strategic pivot aims to capitalize on the Kingdom’s prime geographical positioning, bridging three continents.
The insights were shared during a panel titled “Connectivity and Investment from Now to Next,” subsequent to Eng. Al-Jasser’s inauguration of the Future Aviation Forum. The event was graced by the presence of Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, alongside various ministers, over a hundred international aviation experts, and key industry players including Boeing.
Eng. Al-Jasser elaborated on the strategy’s objective to enhance Saudi Arabia’s logistics capabilities, propelling it into the world’s top 10 nations for logistical performance. He also pointed out that the Kingdom’s transport sector has rebounded to pre-pandemic activity levels, with the movement surpassing 1 million tons in 2023.
