A cornerstone of the agreement is the mutual commitment to the circular carbon economy, a strategy designed to combat climate change. This will involve joint efforts across multiple areas of carbon management including capture, reuse, transportation, storage, and a focus on the emerging hydrogen industry.

The pact also highlights the importance of collaboration in the digitalization and innovation of the energy sector. It lays the groundwork for the establishment of high-quality partnerships to localize materials, products, and services across the entire energy spectrum, touching on supply chains and technological advancements. Both countries aim to cooperate intensively on setting standards and regulations for sustainable materials.

This bilateral agreement between Saudi Arabia and Jordan is a clear indication of their dedication to ensuring regional energy security and promoting sustainability. It promises to set in motion strong partnerships and projects that will not only serve the interests of the two countries but also support the progress of energy initiatives throughout the region.
