In the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, a pivotal event marked the commencement of the Saudi-Ethiopian Business Council. The inauguration, symbolized by a signing ceremony, was conducted by delegates from the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The council’s primary objective is to fortify the economic partnership between the two nations. The event was graced by the presence of Hassan Al-Huwaizi, the Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, alongside over 250 investors. High-ranking Ethiopian officials and delegates from various sectors in both nations also attended.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Huwaizi expressed that the formation of this council is a culmination of years of diligent efforts. It serves as a vital conduit for information exchange and the establishment of business connections among Saudi and Ethiopian entrepreneurs.
The forum also served as a stage for exploring investment potentials available in Ethiopia, such as in the realms of industrial zones, agriculture, energy, and other pivotal economic sectors that are of mutual interest.
