In a strategic move to enhance bilateral collaboration, the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, has initiated an official sojourn to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The primary objectives of this visit are to augment cooperation within the realms of industry and mining, as well as to identify and develop mutual investment ventures.
During his stay, Alkhorayef is scheduled to engage in dialogues with various Dutch ministers and top government officials, alongside notable figures from the private sector. These discussions are intended to foster cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and spotlight the lucrative investment possibilities that Saudi Arabia offers in its industrial and mining segments.
The minister’s agenda also encompasses a series of onsite excursions to several Dutch manufacturing entities and enterprises active within the industrial and mining spheres. These visits are designed to promote collaborative efforts between the private sectors of both nations.
Reflecting on the trade relationship between the two countries, recent data indicates that the Kingdom’s non-oil exports to the Netherlands amounted to approximately SAR 2,65 billion in the year 2023. Conversely, non-oil imports from the Netherlands into the Kingdom were recorded at around SAR 8,48 billion.
