SEVEN, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the opening of its fifth entertainment destination in Saudi Arabia’s Aseer region. This marks a significant milestone for the region and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative. The new entertainment destination has been strategically located between Abha and Khamis Mushait, in close proximity to Abha International Airport, with an investment of over SAR1.3 billion ($347 million).

The architectural design of the entertainment destination was inspired by the ancient stone buildings of the Aseer region and aligns with The Urban Code of Aseer Region, prioritizing excellence in urban planning and design. The development covers an expansive area of 64,000 square meters, with a built-up area exceeding 79,000 square meters.

The Chairman of Aseer Development Authority (ASDA), Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, witnessed the opening of the entertainment destination, emphasizing the region’s ambition to become a year-round global destination.

SEVEN’s Abha project is a key component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, with a projected GDP contribution of SAR 4 billion and over 5 million visitors by 2030. The project will also create hundreds of job opportunities for the people of Aseer.

The construction of the entertainment destination will be undertaken by Modern Building Leaders (MBL), ensuring the highest standards of execution and prioritizing safety and sustainability measures.

The SEVEN Abha entertainment destination will feature eight distinct attractions, including a family entertainment center, a jungle-themed edutainment attraction developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, and a PLAY-DOH themed entertainment center licensed by Hasbro.

Other attractions include an immersive indoor golf adventure area, a multipurpose venue for live entertainment events, indoor e-karting tracks, futuristic bowling, and a 10-screen cinema from AMC. SEVEN will also offer a diverse range of retail and food and beverage options.

SEVEN has partnered with renowned companies such as Cundall, Theme 3, Top Notch, Holofice, Thinkwell, and Sea Quest to design the entertainment attractions in Abha.

This opening is part of SEVEN’s ambitious investment plan of over SAR 50 billion, which includes the development of 21 entertainment destinations across 14 cities in Saudi Arabia.
