Strategic Alliance Forges Between Naver and Aramco Digital

Tech and Oil Giants Target MENA Digital Transformation

South Korea’s Naver Corp has reached a strategic partnership with Aramco Digital, the tech arm of the oil behemoth Saudi Aramco, with the aim of driving digital innovation across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This collaboration will focus on the development of Sovereign Cloud solutions and super apps tailored for the regional market, and will also involve creating artificial intelligence (AI) models based on the Arabic Large Language Model (LLM).

Naver is set to utilize its proprietary LLM technology to engineer AI models that resonate with the region’s unique cultural and linguistic characteristics. These models are intended to serve as the foundation for a variety of technology solutions.

The company proudly states that it stands alone, apart from leading tech entities in the United States and China, in its ability to present an effective framework for managing the demanding costs of LLM, complemented by optimization technology, infrastructure readiness, and comprehensive solutions.

The partnership’s vision extends to applying Naver’s prowess in cloud computing, robotics, and digital twins, in the conceptualization and development of intelligent infrastructure for smart buildings and cities.
